Changing the Internets Forever

According to a piece in the Independent, things are going to get really crazy on the Internet by the end of this year…and Google is gonna have to invent 3-D holographic porn at dial-up speed for them to make a comeback.

The real innovation, however, is in its ability to work things out “on the fly”, according to its British inventor, Dr Stephen Wolfram. If you ask it to compare the height of Mount Everest to the length of the Golden Gate Bridge, it will tell you. The 28th Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA)

The 28th Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) ceremony will occur at York College Performing Arts Center in Queens, New York on Sunday, May 3, 2009.

Performing live will be critically acclaimed artists Beenie Man, his wife D’Angel, Queen Ifrica, Cocoa Tea, Mighty Sparrow, Alison Hinds, Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser, Calypso Rose, Tony Rebel, Gramps Morgan, Lt. Stitchie, Awilo-Soukous Band, Barbee, Mutabaruka, and Duane Stephenson.

Dancehall deejay Mavado (”I’m So Special”) leads the pack with nominations in eight categories. He is followed by Beres Hammond and Elephant Man with seven nominations, while Etana and Queen Ifrica each received five nominations, and Mr. Vegas has four. Live Review Junior Boys & Max Tundra

The crowd was ready for a night of dancing, and Junior Boys complied with their languid grooves Thursday night in Chicago. The Canadian electropop duo was a trio on this night with a drummer locking in their beats and adding some extra push to the proceedings. But while they were the picture of restraint excess, opener Max Tundra was everything else. His rough around the edges energy properly fired things up at the start of the show.
