Mr. J. Medeiros gives us another sneak peak at the upcoming rerelease of Friends Enemies Apples Apples. Well known from his Rawkus days with The Procussions, Medeiros has always delivered some fiery hip-hop aimed at exposing social injustice and examining human interaction. The “W.A.N.T.S. Remix” features emcee Naledge from Kidz In The Hall and producer Stro the 89th Key (who reworks the beat from The Procussions’ “Little People” for this track). As a bonus, we’ve also got the original version of the track, which features the smooth vocals of singer Tara Ellis. Check out these tracks and be sure to watch out for FEAA, being rereleased on May 11.

Good. It’s finally here! Produced entirely by Maja 7th and featuring appearances by Chi-towns finest, including Naledge, GLC, Freddie Gibbs, Mikkey Halsted, Pugs Atomz, Mic Terror, L.E.P. Bogus Boys, Dave Coresh, Phil G, and Juice, among others. Here’s what Maja himself had to say about the project:
Andrew and I stated working on this album around the 4th quarter of last year. I told him I had some beats I wasn’t using and I wanted to put out an album with predominantly Chicago artists. I had done some work with Killah Priest and some Wu-Affiliates and had been traveling around doing beat battles but I wanted to do something big for the city of Chicago. So we started making phone calls and people showed love. This album is about unity and showing these artists’ talents. It was my job to fuse those talents into a cohesive album. The goal wasn’t to make singles or club records. I just made music that felt right to me. - Maja 7th (Major)
Big shout to Andrew Baker and FSD, as well as everyone else who made this thing possible.

In anticipation of their third album, Land of Make Believe (out March 9), Kidz In The Hall have released the video for “Jukebox.” It’s fun and flirty–literally. Naledge hilariously spends most the video trying to talk to girls who don’t seem too thrilled with him. Ah well, at least they look fresh.
