Sepalcure Presents An Exclusive URB Tour Diary – Part 1 (Video)

An inside look in the life of Sepalcure, inside and outside the gig. 

The duo of Travis Stewart and Praveen Sharma have been mighty busy, prepping their live shows and traveling all around the world in preparation for their self-titled debut LP release on Hotflush. While the dudes have been busy wowing crowds and carefully crafting all the elements together for their live A/V show, they’ve also been going on mini-adventures, checking out what’s around them with open minds (and stomachs). URB asked Sepalcure to give us an exclusive tour diary of their latest European tour, as well as their live A/V debut in Mexico City. Mutek 2011 #Wins & #Fails

It’s interesting that Montreal’s Mutek festival first took place one week after the first Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000. And for a dozen years, these two sister events have dominated the North American electronic music calendar, with loyal techno tourists traveling from one to the next in an annual pilgrimage down the 401 (the Route 66 of Canada). Plastikman To Headline Mutek 2011

Richie Hawtin has spent much of the past year touring the globe as his newly revived Plastikman guise, hitting five of the seven continents with his legendary minimal techno. But with the exception of Coachella and Movement 2010, North American fans have had to patiently wait for their turn to experience the interactive visual and audio experiment that defines this ’90s achetype in the new Millenium. Now there’s another chance, as Montreal’s Mutek Festival has announced that Hawtin will headline the event as Plastikman, along with performers Modeselektor, Amon Tobin, Four Tet and James Holden. …MORE
