Video Premiere – Botzy – Couldn’t Breathe ft Lizzo (Video)

Set to drop upcoming release Buck Fotzy, Minneapolis based rapper Botzy, hipped us up to what he’s been up to in the meantime.  Ever the busy hustler, Botzy dropped his latest music video effort into our laps to get you guys setup for what many are calling a strong full length release.

Couldn’t Breathe, featuring The Chalice’s Lizzo, aurally is a throwback kind of affair.  Channeling a very pronounced horn line, the production paired with Botzy’s delivery feels like walking through the ether like haze of a bright dream fueled by the trumpets of Dizzy Gillespie or Clifford Brown.  Visually, this audio aesthetic is strengthened and …

BORGORE – Decisions Video ft Miley Cyrus (Yes, that Miley Cyrus.) (Video)

Love it or hate it, I’m sure you were not the only one surprised to find out that this spry female vocals behind BORGORE’s driving track, ‘Decisions’ belonged to beloved (or maligned) pop-princess, Miley Cyrus.  In a much needed move to separate herself from the Hannah Montana persona and establish herself in other crowds, the track works on many levels and continues to perpetuate the BORGORE’s initial title of the man ‘who ruined dubstep.’

The bass movement’s enfant terrible, linked up with famed director Christian Lamb whose credits include work wite Madonna, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Shakira, Taylor Swift, John Legend and Incubus.  Southern California natives will definitely see some familiar visuals through the video, including set pieces at the Venice …
