The always offbeat and witty Mr. Oizo has decided to give away his new EP, Stade 3, via his “lazy website.” Just navigate the old school Apple II interface and give Oizo some positive reinforcement by clicking the “OK, i like it, i want it now” button, rather than the “I think it’s CRAP, fuck Mr Oizo” button.

Following several years of relative silence, there’s been some movement from the Justice camp, with a new single, “CIVILIZATION” promised next month and appearing in an Adidas ad. But there’s been more happening in the background, including Gaspard Auge participation on the soundtrack for Rubber, the a new film by director and electro auteur Quentin Dupieux (aka Mr. Oizo). Gaspard is usually considered the “quiet one” in Justice interviews, but URB got to ask him a few questions about the new project and of course, what’s up with his day job?
How did you first get involved with Rubber? Did Quinten approach you?

Compilation CDs have had a rough couple of years. With MP3 mixes in abundance, it has seemed as if taking the time to properly curate (and license) a collection of songs is a losing proposition. That is, unless you’re ultra-hype French imprint Ed Banger, and your new mix, Let The Children Techno, has tons of new music by artists such as Flying Lotus, Busy P, Mr. Oizo, Cassius and more.
