Friday Fresh 05 – DJ Bluz – Nu Vibes 002 (MP3)

Now that we’re back to our regularly scheduled Friday Fresh, our spotlight this week is from one of our favorite bi-coastal music heads, DJ Bluz.  Having spent time honing his craft on both coasts, Bluz has garnered a reputation for being one of the most consistent rhythm jockeys around.  His impeccable ear for a dope beat is definitely evident with the mix provided here, as he deftly takes his listener through a journey of tracks that swing through House, NuDisco, Future Beat, and then some.

But again, you don’t have to take our word for it… take a gander for yourself…

Exclusive Video & Mixtape Drop – Prof Moron – ‘Moron’ (Video & MP3)

Fresh from the presses of Minnesota based rapper, Prof Moron, comes the video to his latest video, ‘Moron.’  It’s rare to peep a party track laced with the ‘ironies’ of the lifestyle, but even more rare is to come up on a video that serves as a true to form instructional dance piece.

The track comes off of the cult followed mixtape series, Kaiser Von Powederhorn 3, which also features the likes of Yelawolf, Slug, and production by Doomtree’s Lazerbeak.

Currently touring the country with Living Legends alum, Grouch & Eligh, Mistah FAB, and DJ Fresh, the mixtape is available below as a free stream and download.

Cross Check :: Bassnectar Interviews Zion I

Between his music and notorious live show, Santa Cruz based Bassnectar is one of EMD’s most distinguished producers. This summer, he got together with hip-hop duo Zion I (Zumbi and AMP) and collaborated on a remix for the Oakland pair’s track ,”Human Being.” Bassnectar is in the midst of a tour and just dropped the Freestyle EP, while Zion I is traversing the country to promote their new album, ShadowBoxing.
