Two of San Francisco’s premier deep house brands—Miguel Migs and Om Records—have finally come together, with the label releasing the star DJ’s next album, Outside the Skyline. The record finds Migs exploring some new reggae flavor with his time-tested house sound with the help of Capleton, Half-Pint and Freddie McGregor, and Meshell Ndegeocello, who appears on the first single, “Close Your Eyes.”

This weekend, LA house institution Deep spins the turntables one last time before going on an indefinite break this Sunday. Founded by Los Angeles mainstay house DJ Marques Wyatt in the tiny confines of the legendary Viper Room, Deep has grown into a weekly megaclub-sized (on a Sunday no less) and has welcomed a generation of American house DJs to it’s decks.
