Best of ‘08: Franki Chan’s Top 10 Shows

Head honcho of the loveable IHEARTCOMIX, DJ and all around wild and crazy guy, Franki Chan knows his shit. And his shit is that dance-party, fire-startin’, ear-drum poppin’ electro. Check out his can’t miss top 10 live shows of 2008 right here:

Boys Noize
I saw Boys Noize play several times in 2008, but the best was at Coachella. Tt absolutely destroyed the crowd, so much so, that it was tough for Erol Alkan to compete for the audience’s affection after the performance.

Institubes, dans le [London] club

An appetite-whetting taster for their upcoming US tour, the Institubes posse hit London on Sunday, and brought a little bit of Parisian Mayhem to the rain-lashed UK capital.

Of particular interest were the Karaoke Djing from Teki Latex (none of the promised Queen or Kelly Rowland, but lashings of French pop) and a superb set from new Australian signings Midnight Juggernauts, who look and sound French, oddly.

Also in fine form were another new signing, Bobmo, and the show-closing Orgasmic, who’s very aptly-named and will be leading the US charge this Sep. Hold onto your hats.
