Alex Metric – System (Review)

Alex Metric

System

Released by Marine Parade

This is an exclusive from my forthcoming 'Rewired' compilation and it is possibly the best thing he's done. If Michael Jackson made Electronic Music with a frenzy of synth and vocal edits, this is possibly what it might sound like! Uplifting peak time music for a feel good audience. It may sound strange but trust me it's lethal!

Half-Assed Single from Former Jackson-Baiter but, hey, Great Video

Former Pulp frontman and occasional Michael Jackson stage-invader Jarvis Cocker has fooled many a reviewer into thinking his self-titled debut solo album is a triumphant return to form. It isn’t. It’s the sound of an old, odd guy trying to write rock ‘n’ roll but clearly rushing the writing and recording process in a failed attempt at youthful immediacy. The opening anthem and worst offender, Don’t Let Him Waste Your Time, has just been released as a single, which would be a terrible thing but for the surprisingly marvellous video, above.
