The Black Opera continues to spread their message throughout the world, opening up for Ghostface Killah & Adrian Younge and working on a new studio EP for Mello Music Group. Today, they are excited to share their Oddisee remix of the song “Queen of Hearts” featuring Mayer Hawthorne. Ugly Heroes, the group consisting of producer Apollo Brown and rappers Red Pill and Verbal Kent, have joined forces to release their self-titled album on May 28th via Mello Music Group. Fresh from remixing the latest Ghostface Killah & Adrian Younge “Twelve Reasons To Die” album entitled “The Brown Tape,” Apollo Brown has now focused his energy developing Verbal Kent and Red Pill for the upcoming album release, creating an album that is a must-have for any hip hop fan.

An Ugly Hero is considered a myth. Growing up, the heroes we saw in cartoons and movies were perfectly chiseled, intelligent, and had senses none of us possess. An UGLY HERO is the everyday blue collar individual that makes the world go ’round. These are the heroes that work hard all day, everyday to help ensure that the lives around them are taken care of, and do it all without recognition. They wear themselves into the ground and sacrifice vanity for family.

Quelle Chris drops the first music video to his upcoming “Niggas Is Men” project dropping on March 19th via Mello Music Group, which is Episode 2 of his 2Dirt4TV series. The album primarily features Cavalier but also features additional guest spots from Fresh Daily, Tanya Morgan, Denmark, DJ GroWeyez and others.
