Here’s another leftover from M.I.A.’s /\/\ /\ Y /\ album. “Zig-Zag” catches the reluctant pop star singing over a New Kids on the Block melody, probably in an ill-advised go at more chart hits. Fortunately, it seems someone was wise enough to not put this on the album. Unfortunately, nothing gets past the internet.

Maya! Ol’ gurl from round the way might have had a case of some word diarrhea but you know what, I don’t care. At least she speaks up and as a fan, I am not about to go cry into a river and say, “oh Maya, what happened?” I’m not going to say she had the worst year ever, it’s just a transitional stage in her life and the worse thing I could do or anyone could to is exacerbate this period in her creative lifetime and poke at it like roadkill. So instead of recapping all the things that went wrong this year for Maya ( like many blogs are doing for about the 90th time), let’s just hope for the best of this fall tour.
