Karriem Riggins’ 34-track instrumental hip hop album “Alone Together” is now officially available on CD, LP and digital outlets. His name, synonymous in both jazz and hip hop worlds, currently plays drums for Diana Krall, while working with many other jazz legends, and producing for the likes of The Roots, Erykah Badu, Common, J Dilla, Slum Village and many others.
Since his early days manipulting records on three turntables with an arsenal of foot pedals to his Decks, EFX & 909 heyday and the salient Closer to the Edit deconstruction of techno, Richie Hawtin has always been searching for a new alchemy with which to transform the traditional techno track into something more.
