First up is the music video for the song “Trains” featuring Charlie Cole, from the French producer/musician, Astrobal. His recently released “Poetry & Science Fiction” EP features 9 tracks. Astrobal explains “I named the project Poetry & Science Fiction” because I see my music as a mix between fiction and true reality, between space and everyday life, relationship and imagination, between Francois Truffaut & Philip K. Dick.” The good folks at MTV IGGY premiered the official music video for the song “Trains” featuring Charlie Cole, describing the song as consisting “of all things synthetic, soft and light – like turbocharged bubblegum pop fused with electricity.” You can also stream the entire EP as well.
Lee Bannon made a special mix for Mary Anne Hobbs’s XFM Radio Show. His mix features music he’s been listening to as of late, while including exclusive new music from one of his groups, First Person Shooter. Lee Bannon has been promoting his recently released “Fantastic Plastic” EP via Plug Research, and it’s been met with a great response.

Thom Yorke has really embraced the art of DJing the past year or so, dropping inventive mixes online and in the flesh. The shrouded badman that is Zomby is releasing a new album through the storied 4AD label. Dedication will be released in mid-July, the follow-up to his iconic debut on WERKDISCS, Where Were U In ‘92? Along with that, the first single “Natalia’s Song” (which appeared on Burial & Kode9’s farewell mix on the last BBC Radio 1 show from Mary Anne Hobbs), will be released next week on limited 10″. As if that wasn’t enough, Zomby gives away “Things Fall Apart”, a cut that features Animal Collective’s Panda Bear.
