The night started off badly for me. I’d never been to the Echoplex, but I’d looked it up on Google Maps before I left and thought that it seemed easy enough find – right off the 101 at Sunset and Glendale Boulevards. Turns out that Sunset doesn’t actually cross Glendale, and the entire Echo Park neighborhood is an intertwining maze of diagonal streets that end and begin again suddenly. As if that didn’t make it difficult enough, the venue isn’t marked, you’re just supposed to instinctively KNOW where the damn thing is. I drove all the way down Sunset until it turned south. Then before I knew it I somehow ended up downtown. I headed back north circling the same old strung-out hooker on the corner of Sunset and Park until I finally spotted a tiny sign …
So… the amazing folks at Puma just sent me pics from the NEW Han Cholo x Puma collab and this sneaker is sick. Titled “The Goldie Han,” the LA-based jewelry label put their skills to work and produced an eye-catching piece with the Puma First Round high top. The use of smooth purple fabric, reflective gold leather, Old English writing and chain-print laces just oozes luxury… and a bit of straight up pimpin.
Flashy and flossy- that’s what it’s all about.

This summer, when we first heard the iPhone could be hacked to enable its wi-fi without a person having to buy phone service, we thought: “Too bad the iPod doesn’t have wi-fi” Then the iPod Touch came along, and while we were fortunate enough to get a demo, we quickly realized that this beast could do so much more, if one would just ask it to, nicely…So it’s good to see that Apple have added Mail (works with most standard Pop3 and IMAP systems) Notes, Maps, Stocks and Weather. Admittedly, we think it’s unfair for early adapters to have to pay for something that will be included free with iPod Touches being shipped from the factory now, but we’re hoping that Apple will offer unlimited free upgrades which …
