Join M83’s Touring Band

French shoegazer Anthony Gonzalez of M83 has apparently found himself without a suitable touring-mate for his upcoming world tour, supporting the acclaimed new album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. To find the perfect performer, a posting has gone up on the M83 website, looking for “a multi-instrumentalist based in the Los Angeles area who can play Guitar, Bass and Keyboards. They should also be able to sing and ideally have previous knowledge of working with Ableton.” …MORE

New M83 :: “Midnight City” (MP3)

Anthony Gonzalez has unveiled the first single off of M83’s upcoming double album, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, which is out October 18 on Mute Records. “Midnight City” offers up some of the ’80s babies flavor (dig that sax) we loved on M83’s previous album, Saturdays=Youth, along with the wall of sound production we’ve come to expect from the group’s entire catalog. Chromeo, Cut Copy and M83 Announce Tours

It’s gonna be a busy couple of months for music fans. Faves Chromeo, Cut Copy and M83 have all announced exensive tours that will ensure that every blog-loving indie electro fanboy (and girl) in North America a chance to catch at least one show (count us in for a couple of gigs).

M83 will be supporting his as-yet-untitled sixth album due this fall, while Cut Copy and Chromeo are on their second laps supporting their Zonoscope and Business Casual respectively. See all the dates after the jump. …MORE
