We guess that Diplo’s travel book sold mad decently, because publisher Rizzoli New York has now signed M.I.A. on to be the next musician to deliver an autobiographical title, according to Freshgood.com. The self-titled 192-page book, due out in October, will feature “monograph in collages made by the powerful and thought-provoking artist herself.” Given M.I.A. usual seizure-inducing art direction, you might want to take a Xanax before delving into a books worth of it.
A finger isn’t a nipple and M.I.A. certainly isn’t Janet Jackson, but that’s the main (non-)controversy coming out of last night’s Superbowl Halftime show. While performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj, the UK singer made the artistic decision to give the camera (and about 100,000,000 people) the middle finger. Why? “Adrenalin” is being named as the culprit, according to M.I.A.’s camp.

It boggles the mind of what these two mad geniuses can create. I didn’t even know these two songs can mash up but they do and it’s amazing: it’s dance-crazy, it’s rock-crazy, it’s wickedly crazy. That is why I call them the “Kings of Mash-Ups;” and hey, I might even go as far and say that they are the Kings of DJs (I might… but I won’t).
