WATCH Richie Hawtin CNTRL Beyond EDM Tour Week 1 Video

Richie Hawtin‘s month long CNTRL: Beyond EDM trek across America’s universities and nightclubs is deep into it’s third week. And while most of the online action has come via live streams of DJ sets and educational panels, not everyone has the time (or in the right timezone) to sit and watch things as they happen. So we enjoyed this wrap-up of the first week’s events, including an impromptu hotel party webcast, a meet-up with Josh Wink, and a serious post-Sandy throw down from Hawtin, Eon Golden, tINI and Loco Dice.

WATCH Giorgio Moroder Discuss His Recording With Daft Punk

Last Friday, we let you know that legendary Donna Summer producer Giorgio Moroder revealed that he had gone into the studio with Daft Punk. Now, IMS has released video footage of the conversation during which Moroder gives details as to what exactly went on inside the robot’s studio. The clip also features some interesting footage of Minus artist Ambivalent discussing a recent tour of India, Carl Cox giving the business to Loco Dice, and Chic guitarist/songwriter Nile Rodgers playing guitar for Pete Tong. The big reveal happens about five minutes into the conversation.
