URB for Gamers: Call of Duty 5 Hands-on

In late May many of you were online in Call of Duty 4 (COD4) defusing bombs or C4’ing flags in Domination, when the squeaky preteen too young to buy COD4 mentioned something about an upcoming Call of Duty sequel, the fifth installment. “Bullshit!” You shouted from your Lazy-Boy throne. Though you pwnd the fun out of that kid for his insolence, today, he grins with I-told-you-so goodness.

Call of Duty: World at War (COD5), is set to release on Veteran’s Day, Nov 11th, and with all your little brothers and sisters off of school, it’s going to be a long day for ass cushions everywhere. Why don’t you join them? COD5 returns to the WWII setting after a quick detour into …

A ‘Beautiful Day’ with U-N-I

Inglewood, CA’s very own Thurzday and YO! of U-N-I have well-established themselves in the hip-hop scene of Los Angeles. However, don’t be fooled…they’re music isn’t “gangster rap,” “hipster rap,” or any other “____ rap” category you can fit them into. How and when did you guys become a duo?

I never should have quit babysitting, because apparently, all of the hip shit is coming out of Nick Jr.’s award winning children’s show, Yo Gabba Gabba! The show’s host, DJ Lance Rock, emcees a half hour of good times and good advice delivered by special guests. Co-created by Christian Jacobs (of the Aquabats), YGG! is definitely one of those shows that nails the type of absurdly surreal humor that appeals to both kids and adults (though surely for different reasons). Last season featured an all-star guest lineup, with Paper Rad, The Shins, The Aggrolites, Cornelius, Shiny Toy Guns, Supernova, Mark Mothersbaugh, Rahzel, The Postmarks, M
