There’s no denying that Azari & III are bussing at an impossibly high frequency right now as more and more fans fall in love their ’80s proto-house sound and Funky Bunch retro style. So it makes sense that Toronto duo have given some analog love to Little Boots, and artist whose futuristic throwback sound was all the rage a few years ago. But while this looked good on paper, we’re not sure Little Boots’ Kyle wannabe vocals do so well with A&III’s analog sounds. Whaddya think?

Little Boots is back her unique breed to hipster disco meets Kyle pop style, produced by Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford. The first single off her second album, “Shake,” is starting to make the promo rounds, but to really understand where she’s coming from, Victoria Hesketh has decided to package her release with a free mixtape chocked full of inspirational material, from Latin Rascals and Laidback to The Magician and Oh Land. All told, a tireless journey through vintage-flavored dance music  vibes.

Fans of divine disco have long had the name DJ Harvey on their lips and in their iPods. The UK expat, whose been hiding out in LA for a decade or so, is an undisputed master of the rare record—dropping tracks you’d kill fo at his Sarcastic Disco parties. Even though he’s been at it since the ’90s, Harvey’s name is becoming a lot more known in 2011, thanks in part to his new Locussolus project dropping in June. In the meantime, there’s some choice remixes on the way from Andrew Weatherall, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas and Soul Clap. Today, we have a nice slow jam edit of “Little Boots” from Emperor Machine.

We’ve had a week to recover, and we still can’t get over how much fun the second annual IndiOa2i2 party was at Coachella. From ex-Smiths bassist Andy Rourke and Macy Gray to Danny Masterson and Yelawolf, DJs and MCs rocked our party from Friday til Sunday while party guests Z-Trip, Rosario Dawson and Katy Perry enjoyed the flawless desert weather.

just wanted to say a huge personal apology for the remaining US tour dates being cancelled. i really hope you can understand this is due to circumstances completely out of my control, i hate cancelling shows and was so much looking forward to coming to all the places we’ve never been and returning to the ones we have… i’m truly gutted and hope you can forgive me and hopefully we will try and reschedule as soon as we are able.
