In light of the succes of the Notorious soundtrack and movie, a question has reappeared in my mind. Rap in the 90’s was obviously at its peak. Things were great. Creativity was at a maximum and everybody was making money. New York and Cali were on top of the world and everything was great. But the killing of both of the game’s frontrunners changed everything for the worse.
Since the deaths of BIG and Pac, both of their former labels have basically gone bellyup. Their crews are non-existant. WTF happened to Lil’ Cease and Lil’ Kim? You know what? I had the idea right before Halloween. We did all these festival shows, and I got all excited to get dressed up, and get costumey, and I found all these really cool masquerade masks, and since then, I’ve been really into wearing them onstage. It was really random how I decided to do it.
