You know what I’ve been saying since ‘09? “Lady Gaga’s voice is so beautiful it would really lend itself to house and well crafted tracks that don’t necessarily require the entire pop formula.” You know when I was proven right? Today and also when Hercules and Love Affair remixed her. I also want to point out that to me the best remixes are the ones that take the original song and completely reconstruct it, not the ones that just take the entire accapella from the original version and layer onto beats. That ain’t remixing, that’s stacking.
Can this video be any more visually arresting? While like I previously said I still think the song is corny but oddly enough she has made the backstory to this song so amazingly endearing; there’s also that theory of “if you hear it often enough”, and I guess it happened with this song. I’m still wondering about this whole Nebraska business though.

Born This Way
Nothing like a sci-fi birthing video complete with references to the devil to spice up an afternoon! But for real, this video is tight and if you’re going to spend your time looking for references in this video which make you feel relevant go ahead. I dare you then to look for other things in our culture and not find similarities between them and other things. I then invite you to go join the fuss bunch over at Crab Rd for a meeting of Insufferable and Cranky 101 taught by Professor I Hate Everything.
