We reported last week that legendary hip-hop retailer Fat Beats was shuttering it’s final two stores in LA and NYC. Hip-Hop DX has a nice long interview with some of the key members of the Fat Beats family, including owner Joe Abjian, general manager and La Coka Nostra alum DJ Eclipse, and one-time employee/MC Q-Unique.
“We’ve been saying we’re in the ninth inning of this game that we’ve been playing for such a long time, and when you see things like this happen, then you start to question what are you doing and why are you doing it because certain things that we were so accustomed to having around like Fat Beats…are slowly leaving.” Q-Unique
