Let's talk drug of choice. Hip-hop has generally gravitated toward alcohol & marijuana with the occasional foray into hallucinogenics and nose candy (simply reference Raekwon's OB4CL, pretty sure there's a few tracks where Ghost & Rae are snorting in the booth). These days hip-hop's medicine cabinet houses anything from adderall (Danny Brown eats them like TicTacs) to molly to cups of promethazine. Gangrene (Alchemist & Oh No) are here to introduce the South American alternative to absinthe, an apparently delightful little cocktail named Ayahausca.

This project is 13 tracks long featuring Black Milk, Prince Po, MED, Rapper Big Pooh, Kazi,  LMNO, Kool G Rap and more.  The production is equally stellar featuring work fromBlack Milk, Oddisee, Dudley Perkins, Georgia Muldrow, and Flying Lotus.  Included in the download version is bonus material including an Oh No remix featuring Rapper Big Pooh & MED and an LD mix. As for raw spit-game, there may have been none better than Big L. An MC every bit as witty as he was gritty, hip-hop's core circle still mourns his early passing. Many heads consider Mr. 139 & Lennox's debut Lifestylez Of Da Poor And Dangerous something of a classic; arguments to the contrary could be offered but only on the production end, plus that does a disservice to one of the best to ever do this rap thing.
