PETA Claws Kanye and Amber Rose

A week after going to the mattresses with Kelis, PETA has set Kanye West and his bald and bootyful sidekick Ambr Rose in their sites. The animal rights group issued this statement after being repeatedly spotted in public wearing full fur coats.

West apparently lives by his lyrics. The ethical dropout–who horrified voters in PETA’s Worst-Dressed Celebrity competition last year–and his sleazy sidekick,Amber Rose, were snapped by paparazzi strutting around Paris in “the ugliest things,” indeed. Both were wearing head-to-toe fur, and Amber refused to remove her full-length lynx coat during a show at Paris Men’s Fashion…

This cut is from Crookers’ upcoming album Tons of Friends with Miike Snow on this track. The single drops February 22nd, and the album this March and features Spank Rock, Major Lazer, Tim Burgess (of Chemical Brothers fame), Roisin Murphy, Kelis, Pitbull, Radioclit, Rye Rye, Soulwax, Madness, Kardinal Offishal and Carla-Marie from Xenomania. Cool Cats x Fool’s Gold = Fool Cats! (MP3)

Fan of Ed Banger Records? The electronic music label home to the likes of Justice, Crookers, DJ Mehdi, SebastiAn Uffie, Feadz? (and the list goes on…) Well, why not express your appreciation for the powerhouse label by sporting a T-Shirt off of their awesome 2009 released line, Cool Cats. I came upon an especially great Fool’s Gold (the Brooklyn based music label home to personal fave, A-Trak) and Cool Cat T-shirt collaboration the other day, and immediately fell in love. Said T is designed by Fool’s Gold art director Dust La Rock and features a badass cat sporting some fly shades, smoking a cig, and drinking Champagne, just like every Cool Cat should. Jack Splash x Kelis “In the Future” (MP3)

Jack Splash has been earning himself a lot of Prince/Outkast comparisons, which pretty much sets the bar impossibly high for this newcomer. But he’s down with everyone from R Kelly to Missy Elliot, so he’s off to a good start. “In the Future” features the still reigning queen of milkshakes, Kelis, taken off the upcoming mixtape Heir To The Throne Vol. 1. The track doesn’t sound like the future so much as a highly electrified version of what people used to think the future would sound like, which, much like jet packs, is a far more appealing vision than the actual futre we got.
