Have you heard of OnCue yet? He’s a Brooklyn-based rapper (who sings) who’s dropping his latest LP, “Angry Young Man” very soon in November. And if you’re thinking, “Why should I give this guy a chance?” that’s ok but we at URB think this kid is the real deal and it’s only a matter of time before he gets some serious recognition. Oh and how about a cosign from one of the biggest hip hop producers in the game, Just Blaze. Blaze is the executive producer of the upcoming album. How about them apples?
Jay-Z had a lot of hits off his “Black Album.” One of them was an interlude produced by Just Blaze titled “P.S.A.” Most recently, the acclaimed producer came across a trap remix of the track that he liked so much that he included it in his latest mixset, “Wig Splitters Vol. 1.” Oh, and that remix…was done by DJ YTst of 360 Sounds (S. Korea).
And if you’re in NYC tonight…

All you have to do is visit the Pleasure Principle website to see the enormity of what’s next in terms of building a massive weekender in the UK. Glasgow-based label/party series Numbers and formerly-defunct festival promoter Dedbeat have come together to inaugurate a colossal experience in Cornwall on the last weekend of April 2013. Part of their statement signifies this as a meeting of the minds that results in something truly organic and original in its inception: “The intention for Dedbeat was always to return in a new form, but with the same music standards. For Numbers this is another stage in their evolution. Since both crews met through Dedbeat’s festivals over a decade ago, the new association for Pleasure Principle has genuine meaning.” For that, we are surely grateful, considering this is only the first announcement of which artists are playing, and it’s BEYOND stacked. Check out the lineup, post-jump and be sure to check out the official Pleasure Principle website for more info.
