Catch the Premiere Episode of Fuse’s “A Different Spin With Mark Hoppus” Tonight (Video)

Mark Hoppus has a mildly busy day job as the bassist, frontman and founding member of irreverent punk-pop band Blink-182. Starting tonight at 7pm ET, though, the musician and producer can add “TV host” to his resumé with the premiere episode of “A Different Spin With Mark Hoppus” on Fuse.

Co-hosted by comedian Amy Schumer (”Last Comic Standing”), the weekly show promises, according to Fuse, to be a “place for music fans to discover and indulge their passions through interviews with artists and celebrities and musical performances by mainstream and emerging bands.” Given Hoppus’s reputation for goofiness and fun, we’re thinking less Dick Cavett show and more three-ring circus. New Jay-Z and Tribe Called Quest Docs In The Works (Video)

Sadly, it’s not one film covering both acts at once, but two documentaries about hip-hop legends Jay-Z and A Tribe Called Quest are coming our way. The Jay-Z film, entitled NY-Z is a love letter to the city Jay refers to as his muse. It captures the September 11, 2009 benefit concert at Madison Square Garden, the same hallowed venue where Jay shot his last concert flick, 2004’s Fade To Black. And much like that previous film, the concert is chocked full of special guests, including Kanye West, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Diddy, John Mayer and Pharrell.

Pharrell is also slated to appear in the as yet  untitled documentary by actor Michael Rappaport celebrating the legacy of A Tribe Called Quest. News of the film surfaced on The Neptunes website yesterday, reporting:

John Mayer talks about new album “Battle Studies” (Video)

In celebration of the highly anticipated release of John Mayer’s 4th studio album, Battle Studies, I bring to you some video footage of the album in his own words . In this mini documentary, courtesy of Billboard, John talks about how “Battle Studies” reveals the “different” him, his growth, and with words such as the record is “a return to music”, many are on the edge of their seats to see what this pop/rock/folk/musician/comedian/serial dater has to bring to his fans this time around.
