Part of the original DJ collective and turntablist group the X-ecutioners, (formerly known as X-Men), Raida’s vinyl exploits quickly earned him a reputation as one of the best DJs in the world. Long ago, Diplo was just like the millions of DJs who now follow him, eager to show off his beats and let the world know who he was. In this video, he runs around like a little kid showing off his Casio, street team posters, and promoting his LP “Florida”. It’s a nice reminder that everybody starts somewhere, and where you go from there is up to you. There is also footage of Diplo DJing one of the funniest school dances I have ever seen.
