I scoured the ‘net and found a track to off the new project. This is “Hoochie Coo” featuring Jim Jones and Mos Def with the Keys. Um, it’s kinda good. Actually, it is good.
And Damon Dash is behind this madness! Dash is starting his own label with the Keys, so says XXL, to release this Blak Roc project.
The Black Keys have planned to release an album under the name Blak Roc. And what, pray tell, will be on this disc? Only the biggest names in hip-hop, like Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Raekwon, Paroahe Monch, Jim Jones, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. NME is reporting that other unnamed artists will be on the album, as well. Sounds intiguing. It lands Nov 27th.
