‘To me, making a tape is like writing a letter – there’s a lot of erasing and rethinking and starting again. A good compilation tape, like breaking up, is hard to do. I’ve known Yonehara Yasumasa (aka Yone) for almost a decade. Before we met, I was already a huge fan of his publications, Out Of Photographers and Smart Girls. Yone travels the world photographing the hottest women. He’s had books published and even crossed over into the gallery world. Yone is the man you love to hate because you wonder why you’re not doing what he does. Not bad for a guy who didn’t spend one day in a photo class.
