It ain’t much, but Minus has released a 16 second teaser clip of the Plastikman rehearsals taking place in preparation for next weekends show at Time Warp Festival in Germany. At the same time, they have announced a new iPhone app, SYNK, that will allow users to monitor—and at one point even control— the Plastikman live show as it happens via an onsite WiFi hub (good news for Coachella fans who won’t have to rely on spotty 3G service in the desert).

With the popularity of the iPhone comes the downside, slapping a case on it and making it look like everybody else’s. Chances are if you have an iPhone then you have a creative bone in your body and don’t really want the common looking latex rubber like covers you see most people carrying. Time to get Uncommon. If you have an image or artwork you want on your case they got you. If you don’t feel that creative they still go you with a collections from Thrasher and Juxtapoz to choose from… just to name a few.
You can design your own case HERE or peep their artists gallery HERE. A new case will set you back about 40$ and unlike other online retailers ships quick smart.

DJ Hero. Scratch DJ. Just when you thought, “They can’t make anymore DJ-emulating devices,” they pull you right back in with Touch DJ, the new iPhone app from Amidio. It’s kind of surprising how many features the app has, according to the promo footage above but I’d like to get a DJ’s opinion to this fun app.
iPhone apps are set to minaturize the whole world if you asked me but when it comes to music I will happily take anything I can get my hands on. Get Physical is set to help you turn your phone into a set of turntables at the slide of a finger. XLR8R had this to say about it.
“Berlin purveyors of all dance-friendly music, Get Physical, move further into the future with the release of their own iPhone Touch Mix. Featuring 18 club-ready tunes from Booka Shade, DJ T, and Patrice Baumel, to name a select few, the application allows you to crossfade tracks, apply a variety of effects, and use the touch screen to “scratch” at will. Now all would-be DJs can hone their skills on the go!”
