Plaid Release Pretty New Tune :: “Missing”

We’re not sure what’s up with the physical release after WARP Records announced that their stock was destroyed in the London riots last week. But that isn’t stopping label mainstays Plaid from taking full advantage of the internet by posting “Missing,” the first single from their new album, Scintilli.

Despite the very ’90s name of the album, the tune reveals something of a new side for the IDM duo after an eight year break from releasing music. The song features a gentily plucked guitar backed by waves of similarly shiney synths. Like a feather tickling your cranium.

Flying Lotus “Camera Day” (MP3)

The last time we threw up a new track from Flying Lotus—the Thom Yorke cut “And the World Laughs With You” off of Cosmogramma—his label Warp and (were told) Flylo himself were kinda bummed out. This new selection off of the upcoming Pattern+Grid World EP is found on the official Warp records Soundcloud page. So hopefully things can a lot more chilled.
