Lefto & Simbad’s Worldwide Family Vol. 1 is out now via Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings imprint. The compilation duties typically have fallen on Gilles in the past, but this time around, Gilles hands over these duties to trusted friends Lefto and Simbad, both well respected for their artistry and knowledge of music. The compilation is a 2 CD album, and features music from the likes of Onra, Tokimonsta, Exile, Grooveman Spot, Brassroots, Zed Bias, Seiji, Uphigh Collective and many others.

Ghostpoet – Liiines (Demo) + Brownswood Bubblers Album Teaser (MP3)

Gilles Peterson and his Brownswood Recordings label recently released another version of their Brownswood Bubblers series, currently on their 6th compilation.   The compilation features some of the best talent today, including tracks from Great Weekend, Javelin, Grooveman Spot, MdCL, Quadron, Pedestrian, Pursuit Grooves and many others.

In celebration of the release, here is a free download of rising London wordsmith, Ghostpoet, and his demo version of the song “Liiines.”  Ghostpoet is also preparing to release his full length album via Brownswood Recordings February 2011.

Gilles and the Brownswood staff always do a great job compiling these compilations, and I hope you enjoy what you hear!
