Go Dreamer – One Big Bag ft Tuki Carter, Curti$ William$, and Key (MP3)

As the countdown continues in anticipation of Go Dreamer’s next full length release, Animals vs Machines 2: Side (M)achines, the New ATL/Hollyweerd/Flush Production member drops a ton of weight on listeners with One Big Bag.

This is not the same funked out, spaced out stank that we’ve been privy to with his earlier drops.  This is straight hard.  It has got all of the ride of old school Crunk and that Deep South Gangsta Swing — something that you may have thought was missing from the current run of tracks coming out of the New Atlanta movement.  This is straight up ‘G’ music for the new breed of Southern ‘G’s’.

The beat drives hard marrying itself well to the lyrical beating that Go Dreamer and company deliver on the track.  The track …

This weeks episode of WTF. the column shedding light on what you may have missed on the Tuesday music release sheets and blogosphere drop lines, is focused on one of the New-ATL’s showrunner’s, Go Dreamer.

New Age Mack stands as the second track dropped in anticipation of his next full release, Animals vs. Machines 2 Side: (M)achine.  New Age Mack, brevity notwithstanding, is like standing in the light of a space-age pimp’s Caddy.  The atmospheric (read: space-blunted) rhythm lends itself to Go Dreamer and featured artist, Forte Bowie’s, vocal ride.  A change of peace from his last tripped out drop, Outta If the track is any indicator on what to expect from the New ATL movement being spearheaded by Go Dreamer and his Grammy Nominated production crew, The Flush, the future …

Go Dreamer – Outta Here Music Video Drop (Video)

Hollyweerd alum, current member of Grammy nominated production crew The Flush, and one of #NewAtlanta’s torch bearers of the old school ATL infused/stream of consciousness rap/lo-fi/pop/indie rock sound, Go Dreamer has hipped us up on the first visual drop for his next mixtape release ‘Animals vs Machines 2 Side: (M)achines’.  The first AvM made waves last year, and so far, from what we’ve experienced from this go around, one would expect the same.

To say that the sights and sounds that accompany Go Dreamer’s first release resemble a dizzying, clever adventure is an understatement.  If the track/video were a living person, it would be like the love child of a lo-fi art house driven Kanye West video …

Stankonia Sessions – A3C Edition – ‘Turn Around’ ft Slum Village, Rapper Big Pooh, J.Pinder, and Go Dreamer produced by The Flush (MP3)

There had to be something in the water/drank/syrup that was getting passed around during the A3C Stankonia Sessions because there has been a whole lotta heat getting dropped since then.

The latest release from the Stankonia Sessions archive is the track ‘Turn Around’ featuring the vocal talents of Slum Village, Rapper Big Pooh, J.Pinder, and Go Dreamer and the production backing of Grammy-nominated team The Flush (comprised of Jeron Ward, Rick Walikk, and Go Dreamer).

The collaborative effort definitely owes it’s DNA to that ‘Stankonia’-era ATL sound; in fact, while listening to the track at the mobile office, I had our resident barista ask if it was a new/old Outkast joint that she may not have remembered.  The back and forth between the suspect list featured in the track credits is reminiscent …
