Sepalcure Live On Percussion Lab Radio (Exclusive Set) + EU Tour Dates (MP3)

Call it a really amazing "going-away" present.

The soulful duo of Sepalcure (Machinedrum & Praveen Sharma) are finally going abroad to make the kids out in Europe fall in love with their emotionally engaging sounds, going to Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris and London with fellow Hotflush luminaries such as Scuba/SCB, George FitzGerald and Sigha. Also, if you’re in London on the 17th, don’t you dare miss out on seeing them with the badman James Blake. What has impressed me about Sepalcure is the simultaneous evolution of their live show and productions; it’s always changing into something more personal, more demonstrative of how much they pour into the tunes they make. With their second EP, Fleur coming out in January via Hotflush, the duo has graced URB with a fantastic live session they did on a radio show that they frequent, Percussion Lab Radio.  There is no tracklist (you don’t need one, just listen to it) but there’s all good vibes. Mix link and EU tour info after the jump.

Renewed interest in lost garage acts and the increasing ease with which one can cobble together film has yielded a tremendous clutch of documentaries over the last decade. Peruvian miscreants Los Saicos can’t be said to have amassed the largest international following, but it’s easy to hear why the Black Lips are down….

Saicomania might not be the easiest thing to hunt down, but it’d surely be worth the time-time.

The Flakes – “Roulette” (Video)

There’s certainly a narrative in this self produced video that the Flakes dished out a while back. It’s all fun and games, though. Just take a listen to that hook.

The Uzi Rash Group Band: An (Almost) Interview (Video)

So, the guys in the Uzi Rash Group Band are clearly weirdos. And it might not serve anyone too well to pay attention to the interview portions of the following video. But the music – an amalgam of stripped down garage and a bottle of cough syrup – should please those disturbed enough to wade through the reptile masks and talk of the apocalypse. If nothing, else, watching the whole thing with the volume turned off is kinda interesting.
