Now that I've got the chance to hear his latest, something tells me that perhaps it might have been more appropriate to save that title for this release. Cee-Lo’s “Fuck You” Gets A Response Video! (Video)

Whitneyavalon, a youtube star? Makes a response to Cee-Lo’s “Fuck You” and I ROFL all over the floor. At first when I heard the song I was like, something here is not sitting well with me, not one bit. I listened, I listened and was still not able to place my finger on it because my mind was being clouded with such a catchy beat and vocals. Now this new video comes out and it all makes sense! I guess when I wrote that review about the video I found Cee-Lo funny for looking like a crazy dude who keeps hair in a bag. I think this comment from Jezebel summarizes it all up, “This woman rules. Cee-Lo Green “Fuck You” Official Music Video (Video)

Mhmmm, this video makes the song much more palatable for me, it makes me uncomfortable too because the diner resembles the one used in that Tina Turner movie where Ike shoves pie in her face. The video and song make for a Randy Newman-esque funk film and creates a funnier window which later turns into some odd rendition of Rock-A-Doodle , video below!

Cee-Lo Album, “Forget You” Details

Well don’t we feel foolish. Seems the biggest appeal of Cee-Lo’s viral hit song “Fuck You” was the complete and utter lack of radio and TV playability. No one could imagine this jawn making it on the airwaves. Well, the single comes out digitally today on Cee-Lo’s website, but we’re holding out for the clean version, “Forget You,” due out in the fall. Cee Lo Green Get’s Hella Profane On “Fuck You”

Cee-Lo Green is no stranger to online music phenomenons. His biggest hit, Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” was the first single to ever hit #1 on digital sales alone. So popular was the collaboration with Danger Mouse that at one point the duo actually “deleted” the song from release (ie—took it off of iTunes) just so it wouldn’t wear out it’s welcome (I did anyways).

Five years later and “Crazy” is just now becoming listenable again after the massive over-saturation. But Cee Lo has moved on, crafting another piece of retro throwback-funk custom-designed for online.
