This past Sunday, French DJ Toxic Avenger and a crew of Los Angeles based DJ’s, Steve Aoki, Blake Miller, Paparazzi and Less Than Zero broke out the tables and performed in the Riverside Municipal Auditorium. The crowd was crazy and security on stage was lax, during a few moments in the show the stage was packed with dancing kids having the time of their lives.

The event was called Humanity and it was thrown by B & M productions, who seem to be only giving Riverside what it desires. Over the past few years, the Riverside dance electro scene has seen visitors such as Crystal Castles, Boys Noize, Le CastleVania, Guns n Bombs, Acid Girls and more.

It seems probable that Riverside, deep within California’s Inland Empire, could become a major stop along the nations indie-electro dance …

2008 Video Rewind Part 4 (Video)

A look back at a few more performances- Black Kids, Kristeen Young, Fires of Rome, Flobots

Black Kids

Nice live re-arrangements, espesh on lead vocals. Amidst the chaos I forgot to plug my audio recorder into the mixer upstairs in the VIP area, so the bass is raw. I think it’s former Liquid Sky crewmember slash Harmonie Korine muse slash designer Chloe Sevigny, who does a lovely ballerina’s standing split from the balcony.

Adidas is running their first EVER ad in America for their Originals label features Katy Perry, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Method Man, David Beckam and Kevin Garrnet. In truth, the clip is you pretty standard in ther people-who-are-cool-like-you-wanna-be-having-fun-like-you-wanna-have vein. What shock us up was the use of Pilooski’s remix of Frankie Valli and the Four Season’s “Beggin.” Easily one of the top tracks of 2008 in the URB office.
