When “Murs for President” came out, it was a time when the United States was in the middle of a tense political and social climate. We were on the cusp of a new electron, a deep financial crisis, and social media revealed itself as a leading form of mass communication. In an era when we felt bombarded by popular culture, Murs humorously and profoundly commented on the state of things, in turn contributing to a voice of the current generation. A couple of years have passed since “Murs for President,” and many things have changed for us. The feeling of being overwhelmed has turned into a subtle blase towards all things, a certain nonchalance for the otherwise shocking.

Flud Way TV Presents: On The Clock with Strong Arm Steady (Video)

FLuD Way TV is proud to announce its latest installment of its “On the Clock” series, this time with West Coast superstars Strong Arm Steady. The collective, currently composed of Krondon, Phil Da Agony, and Mitchy Slick, originally formed in Los Angeles, CA in 2003. Since then, the group has been steadily gaining a following through their brand of hip hop. The idea behind Strong Arm Steady is to create a soulful, rhythmic alternative to a gang-centric aesthetic that dominated West Coast hip-hop. The result is the indie rap equivalent of a jam session, with words freely interacting with each other, creating a collage of thoughts and rhymes.

FLuD got the chance to catch up with Krondon and Mitchy Slick to speak bluntly about legalization, “Stereotype” (their new project with legendary producer Statik Selektah), and more. …
