First! With the last! It’s not like we’ve slept on Crooked I’s immaculate internet game (we wrote MC Paul Barman), but we’ve kinda played catch up with the actual jams. Boys Noize
I saw Boys Noize play several times in 2008, but the best was at Coachella. Tt absolutely destroyed the crowd, so much so, that it was tough for Erol Alkan to compete for the audience’s affection after the performance.
Sebastian Tellier
An hour long epic show at the Henry Fonda in Los Angeles. He really has great showmanship, and the part where he lays down on the piano, brilliant!
NOFX
I’ve been a NOFX fan my whole life, but this was the first time i saw them …
So season four of The Wire is available on DVD and the final season debuts the first week of Jan, which gives us just enough time to rewatch the entire series (seasons 1-4) at least two more times….in order to prepare for the grand finale. HBO apparently understands my addiction like Bubbles gets the game. The network has released three prequel videos (Maybe there’s more?) of some essential characters to stoke the flames of anticipation. While the Prop Joe video is slightly corny and the Bunk/McNulty jawn looks a bit like a season one outtake, the Omar video is quintessential.
