The often lampooned R&B singer reached a settlement to end a zoning dispute with the Chicago suburb Olympia Fields. He's still supposed to go to trial on those child pornography charges someday, but nothing's on the schedule just yet.
Whenever the child porn case does get rolling again, Kelly better hope he fares a bit better than in his recent dispute. That one ended with Kelly tearing down the guard house he'd had built without a permit and paying Olympia Fields $20,000 in legal fees. (I told you it was boring)

Not entirely sure what to make of this. The collection from Fields combines their last EP, 4 From the Village and their single "Song for the Fields," meaning that only two of those village songs are new. The Shins-level wispiness of the single isn't matched here, but it is a lot of pretty music'even if the village population is over-reported.

This London troupe has already quietly accosted Europe with its lilting, astral pop and is about to do the same here with the 7 From the Village EP. However, that jam does not include this psychedelic, mildly acid-techno, that is an edit by Ewan Pearson, the Rapture producer that isn't Paul Epworth or Danger Mouse. While the 'you're not the only one'? hook is now repeated ad infinitum, its repetition its offset by nine minutes of minimal, driving electronic effects.
