In the run up to the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day, Trovata, Urban Outfitters, and the Staying Alive Foundation (MTV’s international initiative to encourage HIV prevention) all teamed up to increase awareness about the global epidemic HIV/AIDS. As their contribution to the movement, Trovata will be donating all the proceeds from their limited edition “The Lovers” t-shirt to the Staying Alive Foundation. Urban Outfitters in conjunction will carry the shirt in their stores starting Dec and, in a similar fashion, donate the funds to the initiative. The collaboration culminated with a celebratory event at Social Hollywood in Los Angeles last Thursday.
With salon-saloons in NYC, LA, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego, and Austin, Beauty Bar has long been a favorite night spot for those chic enough to party off the beaten path. Their famous martinis and manicures nights attract babes who like to look good and get their drink on, as well as dudes who like girls who want to look good and get their drink on. Since most URB readers probably fall into one of those categories, there’s good news this holiday season on the what-the-hell-to-get-her front. Art/fashion charity group SEARCH+RESQ has designed a limited edition Beauty Bar cameo logo pendant that’s perfect for your girlfriend, bff, sister, and so on. And the best news is, it’s only $25! Check the pics out below, and visit Beauty Bar’s online collection to purchase it.
