MySpace (and Tom) Goes After iTunes (Video & MP3)

The current chapter of MySpace’s upcoming incarnation goes like this: MySpace adds Justin Timberlake as a friend; Justin Timberlake accepts; Myspace and Justin Timberlake conspiracy against iTunes. Actually, this is going to be the plot to the upcoming straight-to-dvd movie, “Social Network 8: It’s Tom’s Payback, Bitches!!!” where Justin Timberlake teams up with Tom, played of course by Tom Cruise, and they infiltrate Apple Headquarters in a explosive action, thriller, comedy, drama, documentary film. But before that, there will be a long training montage set to “Eye of a Tiger” where MySpace finally admits to his lifelong addiction to horoscopes and finally realizes that in order to be great, he must….not read horoscopes?

Ok, I’m quite confused at this plot because one, I could have sworn horoscopes were the least of the problems leading to MySpace’s demise and two, what did iTunes ever …

The four-piece Australian outfit Wolf & Club perfect a  newfangeled brand of psychadelic rock on their latest release 'Sciene And Sorcery'. Their hearty sound( made by possible by their utilization of two drummers) can be heard best on the thumping album opener "Seven Sevens" where lead vocalist Joel Byrne delivers seemingly cryptic lyrics in a funky Prince-like falsetto. Also noteworthy is the heavily rock influenced "What Are They Running From"--an up-tempo track with a most savory bass-line and lengthy percussive breakdown. KISS FM Gives Early Xmas Present, Axes Buzzin’ Fly Radio Show

Yesterday afternoon the twitterverse started to light up from Ben Watt and the Buzzin’ Fly crew with the surprise announcement that KISS FM decided to axe the show from its 2010 lineup.  Really KISS?  A two week notice is what you give major labels before dumping them?  Apparently the show was cancelled due to KISS “shrinking specialist output for 2010″ as KISS pushes on for greater commercialization.  Buzzin’ Fly and its show represent a major aspect to electronic music and while they are not the Essential Mix I would hardly call them specialist.  They do however represent a large base of educated music lovers who know their deep house and tech roots as well as keep a keen eye out for what is new.
