HARD Summer Shut Down (Video)

Already from the start something was up.

I called ahead to The Forum box office at approximately 10:21 pm because I was running late and to make arrangements to get my press tickets. The operator told me it was sold out, in an exasperated tone. So I had to explain that I already had tickets and all she could say was that things were “on standby” and no one was getting tickets at the moment. Driving past the front of the venue, about 10 minutes later, it didn’t look chaotic, but all the parking gates to get into the lot were closed. VIDEO: Having EDC Withdrawals?

Recap: EDC 2009

Maybe not everyone understands house music, but everyone understood good times at the 13th annual Electric Daisy Carnival that took place this weekend in Los Angeles. It’s hard to describe what exactly happened at a two-day (three with after parties) event where more than 90,000 people lost their minds and had a blast. But the music was fantastic. And music variety was not lacking this past weekend at the LA Coliseum, neither was craziness and fun – from DJ AM to The Crystal Method, Hall of Mirrors to merry –go-arounds and stilt walkers at 3am, everything was very exciting, colorful, loud and packed with ravers of all ages.
