I had the privilege of sitting down with two of my favorites, the lovely Matt & Kim, during the soundcheck for their sold-out show at New York’s Webster Hall (one of two). I talked to the super-happy twosome about how they met, the new album, and kim’s…er…unique ability to pee while standing up.

Recently finding a home at Atlantic Records, 25-year old Donnis is creating quite a buzz. With the career-changing, Needlez-produced hit ”Gone” and affiliations with names like Will.I.Am, Estelle and T.I., it seems as though the Atlanta-born rapper’s time has finally come, and deservedly so. Donnis is having a great year. Between being signed to Atlantic, performing on 106 & Park and enjoying a stint on Common’s “Only The Brave” Diesel Campaign, it seems as though the rapper barely has time to breathe. But what he does have time to do is make more music, and he’s done just that.

Fool’s Gold record label releases two hot tracks from their ATL homeboy, Donnis. The first is a freestyle over Xzibit’s “Paparazzi” instrumental, and the second is a guest spot on Thee Tom Hardy’s beach-bouncy “One For the Money.” Great beat.

Our fave Canadian three-piece live remix crew, Keys N Krate are getting ready to drop their new mixtape, and have let loose this taste of Donnis’ “Gone” as played through their own keyboard, drums and turntable set-up. The original is hip-hop, the remix is dubstep and the style is all their own.
