HURRY – DJ Shadow on Gilles Peterson’s Radio Show (2 More Days To Listen)

DJ Shadow continues to come out of the…uh, shadows…this time appearing on the BBC with Gilles Peterson. It’s not quite as exciting as when Thom Yorke appeared on the program a few months back but the two renowned diggers don’t let us down, delivering a selection of obscure jazz, funk, trip-hop and other sonic exotics. Slightly disapointing is the fact that Shadow didn’t use this opportunity to unveil any new material, like he did when debuting the track “Def Surrounds Us” back in August with BBC presenter Zane Lowe.

You can stream the radio show for the next two days, here.

Sound Of The Police

Released by A Stable Sound/Soul Kitchen

When artists who have been making music for a long time are asked about their motivation, the typical and cliché answer is that they are just trying to challenge themselves by pushing their music to new directions. While the sentiment rarely reflects the finished product, it is safe to say that nothing could be truer when it comes to Cut Chemist and his latest musical adventure.
