The track appears on their latest album, “Fresh 2 Def,” which was named one of the top albums of 2011 by the legendary DJ Premier. The video was filmed at OK Cigars in Soho, NYC. Video was shot and edited by Charles A. Lamour and his crew “Gold Street Collective”

We might be nicely settled into 2012, but that doesn’t mean there’s not room for one more Best of 2011 list, especially when that list comes from DJ Premier. Of course, like all vinyl junkies, Preemo doesn’t actually stick to the assigned 25. How many of these Premier-approved records did you check last year?

This is just a real raw rap video! The song is tough and we wanted to do something simple but also something that people can relate to. You know how many skaters are out there? It was really DJ Pauses’ idea to shoot at a skate park, seeing as he use to be a skater back in the day. With a new solo album and a new label (Rhymesayers), rapper Evidence will be the first person to tell you he is prepared to put in nothing less than hard work. We caught up with him before his show right as he received the news his DJ (Fresh) couldn’t fly to the show due bad weather conditions. But obstacles be damned, not only did his improvisational DJ deliver, Evidence also brought a female fan onstage and began to do a flawless rhyming duet and fearlessly rocked the spot without any “evidence” of hesitation.
