Berlin Festival Preview

With it’s facinating 20th century history and and 21st century reputation as a serious party destination, pretty much every week in Berlin is music week. But Berlin Music Week raises the stakes higher, with dozens of events popping off between now and the weekend. The biggest is undoubtedly Berlin Festival, which crashes the massive Templehoff airport (the site of the infamous Berlin Airlift) this Friday and Saturday evening before moving to Arena Club in nearby Kreuzberg for the sort of all-night party the city is legendary for.

German engineering can be found in other places than behind the wheel of an automobile. Take DJ Hell, a prolific techno artist credited with pioneering and promoting the electroclash sound. His aptly named double album Teufelswerk (Devil's Work) brings this sound from night to day. "U Can Dance Feat.
