Despite it’s immense popularity, dubstep continues to be the most divisive sound in EDM. Need more proof? How about Los Angeles DJ Fei-Fei, who took to the tables at Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance party as part of the larger Beyond Wonderland event in Southern California this weekend. The 10-year DJ vet decided to mix things up with a selection that included moombahton, hip-hop and the dreaded “D-word.” Seems AvB’s fans, who were listening to her set online didn’t take so kindly to this inclusive sound and got very hostile on Fei-Fei’s Facebook page.

“My set was unexpected, yes, but I didn’t think I was gonna be receiving death threats on my Facebook. That’s harsh,” Fei-Fei told LA Weekly.
