Chicago needs all the entertainment it can get before this whole state goes into hibernation until next May. As soon as the weather gets somewhat manageable we all run to streets praising hallelujah and dancing til’ the morning sun. From all the major festivals to smaller performances and a summers worth of high profile concerts, Chicago is a music town despite all the anti-raving acts and promoter fiascos.
We’re two weeks away from CB9 in New York (you can still score a few of the remaining 3-day passes for $155, up until 7/14, plus they’ve extended the 90-day interest-free bill me later option) and it’s time to announce the winner of URB.com’s & MixMatchMusic Remix Wizard’s remix contest, which was a massive, global beat-battle. URB.com and MixMatchMusic have teamed up for the Camp Bisco 9 Remix Contest. This year will feature four different artists and songs to remixincluding event hosts The Disco Biscuits, omnitempo maximalist Bassnectar, electronica pioneer King Britt and New Zealand soul reggae stars The Black Seeds.
