Chicago Theater Treated To INSANE Yaz Performance

Yaz is made with Alison Moyet’s robust vocal (which inspired Hercules & Love Affair), stoic Depeche Mode baldy Vince Clark’s deft synthwork, and a big-ass pile of shiny 80s dreams. I swear I could listen to “Situation” back to back for days and not tire of it!

“I must take a minute to consult with my Conac devils,” Moyet laughed before taking a swig and launching into an unbelievable live rendition of 80s synth smash “Don’t Go” with Clarke. If Cognac is what cultures that insane voice of hers — s@#$%, drink up, girl.

Article in the magazine forthcoming, but here’s a sonic treat for your senses that comes in as a distant second to being there (ain’t that how it goes). It was a no-camera zone, but you know how URB does.

It was a music video, not just any music video, but an amazingly cryptic and mesmerizing video that made me instantly identify with what the creators were trying to convey, I heard the message loud and clear and it’s my God given …

Blaqk Audio have Stiff Kittens

Beginning around 2001-2002, AFI's Davey Havok and Jade Puget finally unveiled their black curtain on Blaqk Audio in Mar of this year with the release of “Bitter For Sweet.” And their latest, which seems to be channeling some Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode and Maybe some Echo and the Bunnymen, just recently uploaded their latest “Stiff Kittens” on their Myspace page last night. Their album, “CexCells,” is …
