After riding a successful touring wave after releasing their debut, The Bright Lights, last year, Saints of Valory kick off the holiday season with their newest single, Winter Lights.

After a season’s hiatus, Two Side of Cool returns (to finally) finish off our coverage of Ricky Reed, of electro-future pop-funk band Wallpaper.  The first episode covered Wallpaper beatmaker, Eric Frederic, also of Facing New York fame, with this season’s opener focusing on the the self proclaimed ‘hit-maker’ of the group, Ricky Reed.

Traveling for editorial work can often be described as the arduous task of getting from point A to B at the whims of the airport gods, the weather gods, and the management gods.  It is often the case that the easier something seems to be at the start, the crazier things will get as the situation progresses: this definitely was the case as we headed into the DeLuna Festival.

I wanted to make this very special shout out and DeLuna Festival recommendation to a rapper who is still one of the best new artists of new decade. A rapper who is a URB Magazine NEXT artist and a rapper who has dominated the URB Next boards. A rapper who has kept her ideals and continues to evolved year after year after year: her natural skills on the mic is addictive, her performances on stage is charming and charismatic, and her mixtapes are amazingly wicked (three volume mixture in 2011 entitled “I Stopped Caring in 96‘” – one of the best mixtapes of 2011)

She’s the always fresh,  K. Flay.

@delunafest We Lost Linkin’ Park (Video & MP3)

Noooo! Due to injuries sustained by Chester Bennington, I regret to inform you that Linkin’ Park will no longer be able to perform at the DeLuna Fest on Sunday night. The DeLuna Fest is offering Sunday refunds for those who bought a one day ticket but what would you rather do: stay at home and play x-box 360 or have this gigantic version of Sunday Funday (Plus, why miss URB featured artists like Cut Copy and K. Flay?). But this puts me in a bad spot, I wanted to start my Countdown to DeLuna Fest with Linkin’ Park but now, I have to find someone else to promote.

Actually, screw it, I was excited to post a Linkin’ Park blog …
